The 5th NUJS International Client Counselling Competition, hosted by the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), offers law students a platform to test their legal acumen in real-world scenarios. This edition marks a transition to a global level, featuring collaborations with premier law firms and national organizations.
Competition Timeline
- January 25, 2026: Last date for provisional registration.
- January 30, 2026: Last date for final registration.
- February 5, 2026: Release of team codes and pools.
- February 12 – 13, 2026: Physical oral rounds.
Registration and Fees
Participants can choose between two registration tiers, both of which include accommodation during the competition and access to NUJS's annual cultural fest, "Outlawed".
- Tier 1: 15,000 INR / 200 USD (Includes access to Outlawed on February 13th and 14th).
- Tier 2: 20,000 INR / 250 USD (Includes access to all days of Outlawed, February 13th – 15th).
Prizes and Recognition
- Winners: 30,000 INR.
- First Runners Up: 20,000 INR.
- Best Counsel: Internship with Cadre ODR.
- Runner Up Counsel: Internship with Cadre ODR.

NUJS is a top-tier law school in Kolkata, currently ranked 4th in India by NIRF. The competition coincides with Outlawed 2026, a major cultural festival featuring events like Battle of the Bands and the NUJS Great Calcutta Race, alongside concerts by prominent Indian artists.
