The Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai (MNLU Mumbai), through its Centre for Training & Research in Commercial Regulations (CTRCR), is hosting the second edition of the National Corporate Client Counselling Competition (NCCCC). This event provides a platform for law students to engage with real-world corporate law issues and test their skills in client management and legal interpretation.
Overview and Eligibility
The competition covers various legal disciplines including Company Law, Contract Law, Insolvency Law, Banking & Finance Law, Securities Law, and Capital Markets.
The competition is open to students currently enrolled in a 5-year integrated law program or a 3-year LLB program.
Participants can register as University-Nominated Teams or as Individual Open Teams, the latter of which are selected based on CV evaluations.
Competition Structure
The event is divided into two main phases:
Preliminary Rounds (Online): Taking place February 27th–28th, 2026, 40 teams will participate in two rounds of counselling. Each session includes 20 minutes of client counselling followed by a 10-minute post-consultation discussion.
Advanced Rounds (On-Campus): On April 11th, 2026, the top 4 teams will travel to MNLU Mumbai for the Semi-Finals and Finals.
Registration and Timeline
Registration Opens: January 7th, 2026.
Registration Deadline: February 15th, 2026.
Fees: The preliminary round fee is INR 4,500, with an additional INR 5,500 required for teams advancing to the final rounds.

Awards
Winner: INR 20,000 and internship opportunities.
Runners Up: INR 10,000 and internship opportunities.
Best Counsel: INR 10,000 and internship opportunities.
