PES Modern Law College, Pune, through the Modern Arbitration Centre and in collaboration with Satya Muley & Co., Pune, is hosting the National Level Mediation Competition 2026.

Aim of the Competition
• Promote mediation and ADR awareness among law students
• Build negotiation, communication, and client-handling skills
• Provide a national platform to demonstrate mediation excellence
Eligibility and Participation
• Open to all law colleges and law schools across India
• Eligible students: Full-time 3-year LL.B and 5-year BA LL.B / BBA LL.B students from BCI-recognized institutions
• Team Composition: 3 members (Counsel + Client + Mediator)
• Maximum one team per college
• Total Teams Allowed: 20 (first-come, first-served; late entries accepted if slots remain)
• Registration Fee: ₹2,000 per team (non-refundable)

• Last Date for Registration: 24 December 2025
• Last Date for Seeking Clarification: 26 December 2025
• Soft Copy Submission of Mediation Plan: 30 December 2025 (by 9:00 PM)
• Hard Copy Submission of Mediation Plan: 2 January 2026
Competition Format
• Preliminary Round: Knock-out round
• Final Round: Top teams compete for awards
• Case problems will be provided before the rounds
Time Allocation
Preliminary Round
• Total Time: 45 minutes
• Case Presentation: 15 minutes per party
• Separate Discussion: 5 minutes per team
• Conclusion: 5 minutes
• Judge Questioning: 5 minutes
Final Round
• Total Time: 60 minutes
• Case Presentation: 20 minutes per party
• Separate Discussion: 5 minutes per team
• Conclusion: 10 minutes
• Judge Questioning: 5 minutes
