About the Competition
The Justice G. D. Kamat Memorial National Level Moot Court Competition was instituted in memory of Late Justice Gurudas D. Kamat, former Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court and the first Goan to hold that position. Since its inception in 2023, the competition has consistently attracted participation from leading law institutions across India and is adjudicated by eminent advocates and judges. The 2026 edition continues this legacy by offering a rigorous academic platform that promotes advocacy skills, constitutional interpretation, and legal research.
Eligibility & Team Composition
Open to students pursuing 5-year integrated law courses or 3-year LL.B. programs
Only one team per institution
Each team must consist of 3 members:
2 Speakers
1 Researcher

Registration Opens: 15 December 2025
Last Date to Register: 20 January 2026
Participation Cap: First 26 teams only
Registration Fee: ₹8,500 (inclusive of GST)
Fee includes accommodation, food, Wi-Fi, and library access
