Modern Law College, Pune will host the 20th Shankarrao Kanitkar National Moot Court Competition on 10 January 2026.

Registration Fee
• ₹3000 per team (non-refundable)
Competition Format
Team Composition
• 3 members: 2 Speakers + 1 Researcher
Oral Rounds
• Preliminary: 20 minutes per team
• Semi-Final: 30 minutes per team
• Final: 30 minutes per team
• Judge questioning time not included in allotted time
• Exceeding time in Semi-Finals and Finals results in deduction
Researcher’s Test (Offline)
• Duration: 30 minutes
• 25 MCQs (25 marks)
• Based on moot proposition, relevant laws, aptitude, research skills
• Only designated researcher allowed; ID card mandatory
• No books, notes, mobile phones or devices allowed
Judging Criteria (100 Marks)
• Memorials: 20
• Substance of Arguments: 30
• Advocacy Skills: 30
• Answers to Judges: 10
• Time Management: 10
• Tie-breaker: Memorial marks

Anonymity
• Only Team Code permitted; revealing institution name leads to disqualification

• Paper: A4, one-sided
• Max 25 pages
• Spiral bound
• Cover Colour: Blue (Petitioner), Red (Respondent)
• Font: TNR 12 (body), TNR 10 (footnotes)
• Spacing: 1.5 (body), single (footnotes)
• Margin: 1 inch all sides
Submission
• Hard Copies: 5 Petitioner + 5 Respondent (10 total) before 11:59 PM, 2 January 2026
• Soft Copy: Before 11:59 PM, 30 December 2025
