III CTIL - Bennett International Moot Court Competition 2026: Details and Timeline
Bennett University's School of Law (SOL), in collaboration with the Centre for Trade and Investment Laws (CTIL), is organizing the III CTIL-Bennett International Moot Court Competition 2026. The theme for this event is International Trade Law.
The competition will be held at Bennett University, Greater Noida, Delhi (NCR), in an Offline Mode.
Key Competition Information
* Dates: February 6th - 8th, 2026.
* Theme: International Trade Law.
* Eligibility: The competition is open to students enrolled in 5-year integrated law programmes or 3-year LL.B. programmes across India, and 4-year or 5-year Integrated Law programmes abroad.
* Team Composition: Each team must consist of 2 Speakers and 1 Researcher.
* Maximum Teams: The competition has a limit of 40 teams, registered on a first come, first-served basis.
* Language: Oral and Written submissions must be in the English language only.
* Mode for Oral Rounds: Oral rounds will be in offline mode for national teams, but international teams can choose either online or offline mode for the competition.
Timeline of Events
* Release of Moot Proposition: November 10, 2025.
* Commencement of Registration: November 10, 2025.
* Closing of Final Registration: December 15, 2025.
* Last Date of Seeking Clarifications: December 15, 2025.
* Release of Clarifications: January 05, 2026.
* Last Date of Memorial Submission (Soft Copy): January 15, 2026.
* Draw of Lots, Researchers Test, and Inaugural Ceremony: February 06, 2026.
* Preliminary Rounds, Quarter-Final Rounds: February 07, 2026.
* Semi-Finals Rounds, Final Round & Valedictory Ceremony: February 08, 2026.
Registration Details
* Deadline: Teams must register on or before 23:59 Hours 5th December 2025.
* Registration Email: Send an email with the subject 'Registration for the III CTIL Bennett International Moot Court Competition 2026' to bnmcc@bennett.edu.in after completing the online registration form.
* Registration Fee (includes accommodation on a sharing basis and food for Feb 6-8, 2026):
* Indian Teams: 7500 INR per team.
* International Teams: 100 USD per team (Approx.).
* SAARC Region Teams: 50 USD per team (Approx.).
* Non-refundable Fee: The registration fee once paid is non-refundable in all circumstances.
* Accommodation: Accommodation and food will be available at the university for three days (February 6-8, 2026), and any extension beyond these dates will be chargeable.
Memorial Requirements
* Soft Copy Deadline: Must be submitted no later than January 15, 2026.
* Hard Copy Submission: Six hard copies of memorials for each side must be submitted on the date of final team registration on February 6, 2026.

* Plagiarism: Any memorial with more than 10% plagiarism and AI content will result in the disqualification of the team from the competition. The medium to check for plagiarism will be Turnitin.
Awards
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories (TDS is applicable on prize money):
* Winning Team: 1,00,000 INR or 1100 USD* (Approx.) and a Trophy.
* Runner-Up: 70,000 INR or 800 USD* (Approx.) and a Trophy.
* Best Researcher (Male/Female): 10,000 INR or 110 USD* (Approx.) and a Trophy.
* Best Speaker (Male/Female): 10,000 INR or 110 USD* (Approx.) and a Trophy.
* Best Memorial (Prosecution/Defence): 10,000 INR or 110 USD* (Approx.) and a Trophy.
