8th Arun Jaitley International Insolvency and Bankruptcy Moot Competition (AJIIBMC) 2026
The Centre for Transnational Commercial Law at the National Law University, Delhi, is organising the 8th Edition of the Arun Jaitley International Moot Competition on Insolvency and Bankruptcy. This competition is supported by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) and the UNCITRAL RCAP, in collaboration with INSOL India and the Insolvency Law Academy.
Key Details
* Dates: March 6th-8th, 2026.
* Focus: The competition will engage teams from all over the country on topics of cross-border insolvency.
* Oral Rounds: Teams will present their advocacy skills and argue on the merits to industry experts acting as judges.
* Shortlisting: Teams will be shortlisted for the competition based on the quality of their submissions.
Important Dates
* Commencement of Registration: November 17th, 2025.
* Release of Moot Proposition and Rules: December 1st, 2025.
* Last date for Registration: December 15th, 2025.
* Submission of Memorandum: January 30th, 2026.
* Announcement of Shortlisted Teams: February 15th, 2026.
Registration Process
Registration is a two-step process:
* Teams must first fill out the online application form (available via the flyer).
* Thereafter, they must send an email to insolvency@nludelhi.ac.in with the subject "Registration for Insolvency and Bankruptcy Moot 2025-26," including the team composition and other required details.
Upon receipt of this email, the organising committee will share the payment instructions to complete the registration. Registrations received after December 15, 2025, will not be entertained.
