Chair on Consumer Research and Policy (CCRP)
Established in October 2024, the CCRP serves as a specialized "Think Tank" dedicated to research and policy issues regarding consumer law. Its primary objectives include:
Promoting teaching, training, and empirical research in consumer law.
Developing consumer affairs as a distinct subject of study for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Empowering consumers through awareness programs, grievance redressal mechanisms, and protection against unfair trade practices.
Eligibility Criteria
The internship is open to a diverse range of students from recognized institutions. Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
Law Students (3-Year Course): Currently in their second or third year of study.
Law Students (5-Year Integrated Course): Currently in their second year onwards.
Postgraduate Law Students: Currently pursuing an LLM.
Non-Law Students: Students from other academic backgrounds, specifically mentioning those from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) and the National Institute of Design (NID).
Selection Process
The selection for this internship is highly competitive and follows a three-tiered evaluation process:
Stage I: CV Evaluation: Applications are screened based on academic credentials, research aptitude, and overall suitability.
Stage II: Work/Draft Evaluation: Shortlisted candidates must submit samples of their work, which may include research papers, drafting exercises, or designing portfolios. Evaluation is based on originality, analytical ability, and quality.
Stage III: Interview: Finalists will undergo an interview (online or offline) to assess their subject knowledge, communication skills, and research interests.

Mode of Internship: The internship can be completed in either online or offline mode, depending on applicant preference and the Chair's discretion.
Mandatory Documentation: Upon acceptance, interns must submit a recommendation from their institution (Annexure-A) and a signed undertaking (Annexure-B) via email to ccrp@nusrlranchi.ac.in.
