Overview and Purpose
The UIDAI Internship Scheme 2025 offers students first-hand practical experience under the guidance of experienced mentors. The program aims to integrate classroom learning with practical application in technology tracks, legal domains, and general management. Interns gain insight into the functioning of UIDAI, a statutory authority responsible for Aadhaar enrolment, authentication, and life cycle management.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be Indian citizens and have secured a minimum of 60% marks (or a GPA of 6.0/10) in all prior semester examinations.

Eligible categories include:
Technical Fields (B.Tech, BE, M.Tech, MCA, etc.): Students in their final or pre-final year, or those who completed graduation/post-graduation within the last six months.
Other Fields (Legal, Commerce, Finance, Management, etc.): Students who have appeared in the final exam or completed their degree within last six months.
PhD/Research: Candidates must be registered for PhD or research at a recognized Indian institution in relevant fields like Data Privacy, AI, or Public Policy.

Duration and Stipend
The internship duration is at least six weeks but no more than 12 months. Monthly stipends are provided as follows:
Technical Graduate: Rs. 30,000.
Technical Post-Graduate / MBA / PGDM: Rs. 40,000.
Other Field Graduate: Rs. 20,000.
Other Field Post-Graduate: Rs. 30,000.
PhD/Research: Rs. 50,000 for Technical and Rs. 40,000 for other fields.

Selection and Capacity
Selection is made by the concerned Deputy Director General (DDG) and may include an interview. The annual intake capacity is:
Technology Centre (Bengaluru): 30 interns.
Regional Offices: 5 interns per office.
Head Office Divisions: 4 interns per division.
State Offices: 2 interns per office.

Key Requirements and Logistics
Application: Candidates can apply online when notified or email their CV to the specific office locations.
Documentation: Currently enrolled students must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and be sponsored by their institution.
Equipment: Interns must bring their own laptops for work assignments.
Accommodation: Interns must arrange their own transport and lodging, though basic lodging on a payment basis may be available only at the Bengaluru Technology Centre.
Confidentiality: All interns must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and maintain strict confidentiality regarding UIDAI’s work and policies.
