Participation and Team Composition
Eligibility: Open to students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree courses from recognized Indian law colleges or universities.
Team Structure: Each team must consist of three members: two speakers and one researcher.
Registration Limit: There is no cap on the number of teams that may participate from a single university.
Registration Details
Deadline: Teams must register by January 25, 2026.
Fees:
Mandatory Registration: ₹499 per team.
Accommodation (Optional): ₹4,500 per team (Totaling ₹4,999 if selected).
Process: Teams must fill out the official Google Form and email a payment confirmation screenshot to meernb@rnbglobal.edu.in.
Competition Structure
The competition follows a progression of oral rounds conducted strictly in English:
Preliminary Rounds: Two rounds per team (once as Petitioner and once as Respondent) held on February 28.
Quarter-Finals: A knockout round for the top 8 scoring teams on February 28.
Semi-Finals & Finals: Conducted on March 1, 2026.
Important Deadlines
Clarifications: Requests for moot problem clarifications must be sent by January 12, 2026.
Soft Copy Memorial Submission: Due by February 9, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
Hard Copy Memorial Submission: 12 copies (6 per side) must be submitted at the registration desk on February 28, 2026.
Memorial Guidelines
Formatting: Use Times New Roman, 12 pt. font (14 pt. for headings) with 1.5 line spacing.
Page Limits: The "Arguments Advanced" section must not exceed 25 pages, and the total memorial must not exceed 40 pages.
Citations: Must comply with the 22nd edition of the Bluebook.
Covers: Blue cover for the Appellant and Red cover for the Respondent.
Prizes and Evaluation
Prizes: Total prizes are valued up to ₹60,000+.
Evaluation: Memorials and oral rounds are each graded out of 100 marks based on criteria such as understanding of law, application of facts, persuasiveness, and demeanor.
