CGPDTM Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Internship Programme


The Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, is inviting applications for its IPR Internship Programme. The program is available in both online and offline modes to provide exposure to IP administration and laws.

Eligibility Criteria
The internship is open to the following candidates:
Students: Those enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate programs in Law, Science, Engineering, or related fields, as well as those who have already completed their courses.
Research Scholars: Individuals with a specific interest in IPR.
Professionals: Those seeking exposure to IPR frameworks.

Duration and Locations
The duration varies based on the mode and the candidate's academic status:
Online Programme
Duration: 30 days (four weeks).
Format: One online session conducted daily.
Offline Programme
Undergraduate Students: 30 days full-time at IP Offices.
Other Durations: Short-term (45 days), Mid-term (up to 6 months), and Long-term (up to 12 months).
Locations: Intellectual Property Offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmadabad, and Nagpur.

Application Requirements
Interested applicants must provide the following documents:
An updated Resume/CV.
A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Head of Institution or nodal in-charge (for students and research scholars).
A Degree certificate or marksheet.
