2nd National Moot Court Competition on Consumer Protection Laws, 2026, is organized by the Chair on Consumer Research and Policy (CCRP) at NUSRL, Ranchi

Dates: 27th February to 1st March, 2026.
Mode: Offline at NUSRL, Ranchi.
Official Language: English.
Dress Code: Black Western or Indian Courtroom formals.
Eligibility and Team Composition
Eligibility: Full-time 3-year or 5-year LL.B. students from recognized Indian institutions.
Team Limit: One team per institution.
Composition: Teams must have either two members (both speakers) or three members (two speakers and one researcher). No additional coaches or members are permitted.
Registration and Fees
Registration Deadline: 31st January, 2026.

Fees:
Memorial Qualifier Round: INR 1,000.
Oral Rounds with Accommodation: INR 6,000.
Oral Rounds without Accommodation: INR 4,000.
Payment Proof: Must be uploaded by 19th February, 2026.
Competition Format
The competition is divided into two primary stages:
Memorial Round: All participating teams submit memorials for both the Complainant and Opposite Party.
Oral Rounds: Only the top eight teams based on memorial scores qualify for the offline rounds (Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and Finals).

Clarifications: Submit by 31st January, 2026.
Memorial Submission (Soft Copy): 7th February, 2026.
Result of Memorial Round: By 17th February, 2026.
Travel Itinerary Confirmation: 19th February, 2026.
Awards
Winning Team: Cash prize, trophy, and certificates. They will be felicitated by the Hon'ble Minister of Consumer Affairs in New Delhi on 15th March, 2026 (World Consumer Rights Day).
Other Prizes: Runners-up, Best Speaker (Male/Female), Best Memorial (Complainant/Opposite Party), and Best Researcher.
