Eligibility and Team Composition
Open to students regularly enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate law programmes at any recognised institution
Only one team is permitted per institution
Teams may consist of:
Two members, both acting as speakers, or
Three members, consisting of two speakers and one researcher
Team composition cannot be changed after registration without permission from the Organising Committee

Registration Process
A maximum of 26 teams will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis
Step 1
Teams must complete the provisional registration by 22 January 2026
Step 2
Selected teams will receive confirmation and must complete final registration and fee payment by 28 January 2026
Registration Fee: INR 7,500 or USD 84.45 (includes accommodation)
International teams should apply for an Indian visa at least four to six weeks in advance. Invitation letters will be issued upon confirmation

Best Team: INR 1,00,000
Runner-Up: INR 50,000
Best Memorial for Petitioner: INR 15,000
Best Memorial for Respondent: INR 15,000

All teams that submit memorials and participate in oral rounds will receive physical participation certificates

Competition Structure and Key Rules
The competition consists of two preliminary rounds, followed by quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final round
The official language of the competition is English
Dress Code
For women: White salwar and kurta or white shirt, black trousers, and black coat
For men: White shirt, black trousers, black tie, and black coat
The Researcher’s Test is tentatively scheduled for 27 February 2026
