Acropolis Moot Court Competition 2026
The Acropolis Institute of Law is hosting the Acropolis Moot Court Competition 2026, providing a platform for law students to enhance their advocacy, research, and drafting skills.
Format of the Competition
The event is being conducted in a hybrid model. The Preliminary and Quarter Final rounds will be conducted online, while the Semi-Final, Final, and Valedictory sessions will take place physically at the Acropolis Institute of Law, Indore. English will be the medium throughout all rounds.
Eligibility and Team Participation
Students currently pursuing either a 5-year integrated law programme or a 3-year LL.B. programme are eligible to participate. Teams may include two or three members. Each team is required to prepare memorials for both sides: Petitioner/Plaintiff/Appellant and Respondent/Defendant.
Important Dates
– Moot Proposition Release: 24 November 2025
– Last Date for Registration: 24 December 2025
– Soft Copy Submission of Memorials: 6 January 2025
– Preliminary Rounds: 9 January 2025
– Quarter Finals: 10 January 2025
– Semi-Final, Final, and Valedictory Sessions: 17 January 2025
Memorial Requirements
– Blue cover for Petitioner/Plaintiff/Appellant
– Red cover for Respondent/Defendant
– Times New Roman font, size 12 (main text) and size 10 (footnotes)
– Line spacing: 1.5 for main text and single spacing for footnotes
– Citations must comply with the 20th edition of Bluebook
Oral Round Allocation
– Preliminary and Quarter Final rounds: 20 minutes per team
– Semi-Final and Final rounds: 30 minutes per team
