Moot Proposition Overview
The case involves a commercial suit before the Delhi High Court filed by Stratos AeroDesign Ltd. (Stratos) against Aurelia Dynamics Pvt. Ltd. (Aurelia). The dispute centres around the autonomous outputs of Aurelia’s multimodal AI system, FALCON-X.
Key factual elements include:
• Aurelia’s FALCON-X generated a high-efficiency turbine-cooling duct design and a 4K artwork titled “Skyfire Descent.”
• The Controller General of Patents rejected Aurelia’s patent and copyright filings on the basis that only natural persons can be inventors or authors. Aurelia is challenging this rejection.
• Stratos claims that FALCON-X’s training data included proprietary turbine-cooling design files scraped unlawfully from their cloud servers.
• Participants must argue both sides within a consolidated suit, framing issues relating to jurisdiction, maintainability, and appropriate reliefs including injunctions.
