Overview and Key Dates
The competition is organized by the Moot Court Committee of Amity Law School, Lucknow.
Registration Deadline: 31st January 2026.
Clarification Requests: Due by 2nd February 2026.
Softcopy Memorial Submission: Due by 7th February 2026.
Preliminary Rounds & Researcher's Test (Online): 13th February 2026.
Quarter-Finals & Semi-Finals (On-campus): 23rd February 2026.
Final Round & Valedictory Ceremony: 24th February 2026.
Eligibility and Registration
Eligibility: Open to undergraduate law students from recognized institutions.
Team Composition: Teams must have 2–3 members. In a 3-member team, there are 2 speakers and 1 researcher. In a 2-member team, one member acts as both a speaker and researcher.
Registration Fee: Rs. 3,000 + GST. This fee is non-refundable.

Memorial Requirements
Teams must prepare written arguments for both the Petitioner and the Respondent.
Formatting: Use Times New Roman, font size 12 for body text (1.5 spacing) and font size 10 for footnotes (single spacing).
Page Limits: Arguments Advanced must not exceed 25 pages.
Color Coding: Blue cover for the Petitioner and Red cover for the Respondent.
Hard Copies: Qualified teams must submit 10 hard copies (5 for each side) at the on-campus registration.
Citations: Follow the Oxford Bluebook 20th Edition.
Competition Structure
The competition follows a progression from online preliminary rounds to offline knockout rounds.
Preliminary Rounds: Conducted online via Google Meet. Each team argues twice (once for each side).
Researcher’s Test: An online, 60-minute objective test held on 13th February 2026.
Advanced Rounds: The top 8 teams qualify for the Quarter-Finals held on campus. These are knockout rounds.
Language: The official language for all submissions and oral rounds is English.
Awards and Prizes
Winning Team: Rs. 25,000 and a trophy.
Runners-Up: Rs. 15,000 and a trophy.
Best Speaker/Mooter: Rs. 3,000 (based on preliminary rounds).
Best Memorial: Rs. 3,000.
Best Researcher: Rs. 3,000
