Third Inter-University Mediation Competition 2026, organized by SVKM's NMIMS, Indore.
Competition Schedule
Registration Period: 15 January 2026 to 15 February 2026.
Preliminary Rounds (Online): 20–21 February 2026.
Advance Rounds (Offline): 14–15 March 2026 at the NMIMS Indore campus.
Problem Release (Advance Rounds): 10 March 2026.
Eligibility and Team Structure
Eligibility: Open to bona fide students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LLB programs at law colleges recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Team Composition: Each team must consist of three members: one Mediator and a Mediating Pair (Client and Counsel).
University Limit: Each university may nominate up to two teams.
Registration and Fee Structure
Standard Registration Fee: INR 3,500 for the Preliminary rounds.
Grant-in-Aid Colleges Fee: INR 1,750 for the Preliminary rounds.
Advance Round Fees (Offline): Qualifying teams must pay an additional fee for accommodation and food:
Standard: INR 3,000 for the mediating pair and INR 1,500 for the mediator.
Grant-in-Aid: INR 1,500 for the mediating pair and INR 750 for the mediator.
Registration Limit: Capped at 60 teams on a first-come, first-served basis.
Awards and Opportunities
Best Mediating Pair: ₹15,000 cash prize, certificate of achievement, and internship opportunity.
Best Mediator: ₹7,000 cash prize, certificate of achievement, and internship opportunity.
Runner-Up Mediating Pair: ₹12,000 cash prize.
Runner-Up Mediator: ₹5,000 cash prize.
Professional Perks: All position holders receive internship opportunities with firms such as SNG & Partners, Poovayya & Co., Hammurabi & Solomon Partners, and Wadhwa & Co.
Learning Access: Winning teams receive complementary course access on Mentblue, with a 50% discount for all registered participants.
