The Indian Litigation Fellowship is now accepting applications for its third cycle. This initiative is designed to empower young, first-generation women litigators in India by providing them with the financial stability and professional mentorship required to navigate the early stages of their courtroom careers.
Fellowship Highlights
Total Fellowships: 10 positions available.
Grant Amount: A total stipend of INR 3,60,000 provided over a period of one year.
Mentorship: Selected fellows gain access to a dedicated network of experienced women litigators for guidance and training.
Cycle Duration: The fellowship will commence in June/July 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Gender: Open exclusively to women.
Experience: Final-year law students or early-career litigators with 0–2 years of experience.
Background: Candidates must be first-generation lawyers (no immediate family in the legal profession).
Need: Preference is given to applicants with demonstrated economic need.
Fellowship Categories
Applicants may apply for only one of the following:
Open Litigation Fellowship (8 slots): Fellows can secure employment with a litigation chamber of their choice.
Lawyer in Residence - Pravah Law (1 slot): Attached to the chambers of Mr. Shrutanjaya Bhardwaj, New Delhi.
Lawyer in Residence - E-23 Chambers (1 slot): Attached to the chambers of Ms. Mansi Sood and Mr. Vinayak Mehrotra, New Delhi.
