2nd Symbiosis Moot Court Competition, 2026 – Main Details
The 2nd Symbiosis Moot Court Competition is hosted by Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA. This competition provides a platform for law students to engage in written and oral advocacy regarding a specified legal dispute.

Team Eligibility and Composition
Institutional Representation: Only one team may register from each institution.
Student Status: Participants must be undergraduate students in a 3-year LL.B., 5-year integrated LL.B., or LL.M. program from a recognized university.
Team Structure: Each team must consist of three members: two speakers and one researcher.
Role Constraints: Speakers and researchers are not permitted to swap positions during the competition.

Registration Process and Fees
The registration is conducted in two distinct stages:
Provisional Registration: Must be completed by January 31, 2026.
Stage 1 (Memorial Elimination): Teams must register for the memorial round by February 05, 2026, and pay a non-refundable fee of ₹2,000 + GST.
Stage 2 (Oral Rounds): Teams shortlisted from the memorial round must register for the oral rounds by March 07, 2026, with an additional non-refundable fee of ₹2,000 + GST.
Accommodation: Available upon an additional payment of ₹5,500 + GST.

 * Memorial Submission (Soft Copy): February 28, 2026, by 11:59 pm 
 * Result of Memorial Elimination: March 05, 2026
 * Hard Copy Submission (Shortlisted Teams): March 15, 2026
 * Oral Rounds: March 27–29, 2026

Memorial Guidelines
Format: Memorials must be in Times New Roman, size 12, with 1.5-line spacing.
Citation Style: Bluebook 21st Edition.
Page Limit: Maximum of 30 typed pages (excluding the cover page).
Anonymity: Teams must use their unique Team Code; disclosing the names of participants or their institution in the memorial is strictly prohibited.
Penalties: Late soft copy submissions incur a deduction of 0.25 marks per hour. Submissions after March 02, 2026, will result in disqualification.

Competition Structure
Researchers’ Test: A mandatory 30-minute written test based on the moot proposition will be conducted for researchers.
Preliminary Rounds: Each team argues twice (once for each side). Each team has 30 minutes to present.
Advanced Rounds: The Quarterfinal, Semifinal, and Final rounds are knockout rounds. Teams are allotted 40 minutes for these rounds.
Language: The official language of the court is English.

 * Runners-Up: Trophy, Certificates, and ₹25,000
 * Best Researcher: Trophy, Certificate, and ₹15,000
 * Best Speaker: Trophy, Certificate, and ₹15,000
 * Best Memorial: Trophy, Certificate, and ₹15,000
 * Participation: All participants receive certificates.
