The 2nd National IP Law Moot Court Competition, 2026, is being organized by the Centre for Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights (CIIPR) at the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab.
This competition is designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical intellectual property litigation.
Important Dates (Tentative Schedule)
Release of Proposition + Guidelines: 20 January, 2026
Last Date of Registration: 5 February, 2026
Memorial Submission Deadline: 20 February, 2026
Results of Memorial Qualifier Rounds: 25 February, 2026
Oral Rounds (Offline): 9–10 March, 2026
Valedictory: 10 March, 2026
Competition Format
Team Composition: Each team must consist of exactly two members.
Memorial Qualifier: Teams must submit written memorials for both sides of the dispute.
Selection: The top 16 teams based on memorial scores will qualify for the offline oral rounds.
Oral Rounds: Includes Preliminary rounds (where each team argues both sides), Semi-finals, and Final rounds conducted on a knock-out basis.
Registration Details
Early Bird Fee: ₹1,500 (until 27 January, 2026).
Standard Fee: ₹2,000 (after 27 January, 2026).
Note: Registration fees are exclusive of GST. Additional fees for teams qualifying for advanced rounds will be communicated later.

* Winners: ₹12,000
* Runner-up: ₹8,000
* Best Memorial: ₹5,000
* Best Speaker: ₹5,000
