Organised by the School of Business & Law, Navrachana University, Vadodara, VERDICTUS 2.0 is scheduled to take place in January–February 2026. The fest offers law students across India an opportunity to participate in a series of prestigious national-level legal competitions with a prize pool exceeding ₹1,00,000.
Events Included
The Law Fest features five major competitive events:
Moot Court Competition, Parliamentary Debate Competition, Client Counselling Competition, Contract Drafting Competition, and a Law Quiz Competition conducted offline for semi-final qualifiers who visit campus but do not enter the finals.

Key Features
The fest follows a hybrid format. Preliminary rounds will be held virtually in January 2026, while the semi-final and final rounds will take place offline on the campus in February 2026. The event promises academic enrichment, networking with peers nationwide, and a platform to develop real legal skills. All participants receive certificates, and winners receive trophies and cash awards.

Important Dates
The last date for registration for most events is 15 December 2025.
Preliminary rounds for major competitions will be conducted on 2 and 3 January 2026, and the semi-final and final rounds will be held from 26 to 28 February 2026.
For the Moot Court event, the memorials must be submitted by 21 December 2025.
For the Contract Drafting competition, the last date for submission of the final draft is 2 February 2026, and the problem statement will be released on 16 January 2026.

Prize Highlights
Moot Court winners receive ₹21,000, while the runners-up receive ₹12,000. Special awards for Best Speaker and Best Memorial carry ₹5,000 each.
The Parliamentary Debate winners receive ₹15,000 and runners-up ₹10,000, along with an award of ₹5,000 for Best Speaker.
The Client Counselling competition offers ₹15,000 for winners and ₹10,000 for runners-up, along with ₹5,000 for Best Counsel.
For Contract Drafting, the first prize is ₹3,000 and the runner-up prize is ₹2,000.
The Law Quiz winners receive a Trophy and certificates.

Registration Fee
The fee for participating in the Moot Court competition is ₹2100 per team.
For Parliamentary Debate, the registration fee is ₹1500 per team.
For Client Counselling, the fee is ₹1200 per team.
For Contract Drafting, the fee is ₹500, applicable for both individual and team participation.

Eligibility & Participation
The competitions are open to undergraduate and postgraduate law students enrolled in a recognized 3-year LL.B., 5-year integrated law course, or LL.M. program.
Multiple teams may register from a single institution, with a maximum of three teams allowed per event as per event-specific guidelines.

Accommodation
Offline participants will be provided accommodation during the February rounds at a cost of ₹3000 per team. As per Gujarat Government notification, single-room occupancy is compulsory for unmarried participants.
